Judging
The judging process for the South Australian Premier's Food and Beverage Industry Awards has been developed to ensure impartiality and independence. All judges are selected for their depth of knowledge and experience in the food and beverage industry, and are seeking out the best examples of financially sound businesses that demonstrate professionalism, passion and ongoing commitment to the South Australian food and beverage industry.
Each award category is judged by a panel comprising representatives from the food and beverage industry and the Government of South Australia, with all panels being overseen by the Independent Chair of Judging.
Applications are assessed using a point system. All applications are initiallly assessed based on the written submission. Applicants who are shortlisted for an award will be judged on both the written submission (25% of the final score) and an interview/site visit (75%). Shortlisted candidates must be available for a site visit or interview from mid to late August 2020.
All applications received are treated as strictly confidential. Selection of the finalists and winners in each category by the judging panel is final. The judging panel reserves the right to not award any finalists or a winner in a given category. Food South Australia is not involved in the judging process. Finalists and winners are provided with confidential written feedback following the conclusion of the Awards program.
