Participation in the Eat Local SA program is free, and is open to restaurants, cafes, pubs and cellar doors through to farm gate, retail, catering, accommodation and food tourism experiences. The participation criteria are described in more detail on the Eat Local SA website here.
The Eat Local SA program is supported with an extensive communications program including bi-monthly Eat Like a Local ENews distributed directly to our database of over 20,000 consumers who have opted in to the program because they are interested in seeking out South Australian produce and culinary experiences. Through these platforms, participating venues can showcase dishes featuring South Australian ingredients, share recipes, and promote upcoming special events heroing South Australian producers.
The program also actively promotes South Australian food and beverage products and brands across our social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. Peak engagement across these platforms for specific campaigns can reach over 25,000 consumers.
