As South Australians rally around their local businesses to support them through the impacts of COVID-19, Food South Australia has launched a new program designed to help retailers easily identify local products in-store.
The SA Made and Owned program involved months of working with Food SA members to gather and confirm data on thousands of products for inclusion in the program, and is now being rolled out with Drakes Supermarkets. The team at Drakes have helped Food SA develop the concept from the initial idea to implementation.
SA Made and Owned provides a detailed level of support for retailers designed to meet their needs to develop in-store promotions and flexibility to use the information to support their individual campaigns and branding, and will also add value to industry-wide consumer-facing programs and brands including Eat Local SA, which is also managed by Food SA, and the I Choose SA campaign, which Food SA manages for the food and beverage sector.
