Note - Food South Australia is maintaining regular contact with the organisers of international trade shows in our 2020 program regarding any changes that may occur as a result of the impact of Covid-19 (the coronavirus),and will keep exhibitors advised of any changes to programs. 

 

Exhibiting with Food South Australia

Food South Australia offers an annual national/international trade show program targeting the most effective food and beverage trade shows to help you grow your sales and markets and leverage the state and national brand and reputation. Food South Australia offers a faciliated service to participate in these trade shows each year. This program is open to South Australian food and beverage businesses (FOODEX, FHA Food & Beverage, HOFEX, SIAL China and Fine Food in 2020) and Australian food and beverage businesses (SIAL China only). Food South Australia members and South Australia Food and Beverage Export Hub participants are eligible for priority invitations to exhibit and exclusive member pricing on trade show packages.

Our trade show packages include:

  • Overall branding
  • Shell scheme
  • Wall graphics production and installation
  • Carpet
  • Fascia naming
  • Basic power and lighting
  • Project management

 

Food South Australia will also faciliate (at additional cost): artwork design/development, booth furniture, refrigeration, additional/24 hour power, freight and freight administration. Collocation under the Food South Australia branding brings key buyers who are aware of our state's reputation for premium products direct to your stand. Food South Australia also facilitates introductions, referrals, tours and in-market promotions in association with our trade show program as opportunities arise.

Packages also include options to participate in the South Australian Producer Showcase for exhibitors who are unable to attend a trade show personally, and participants in Food South Australia's South Australia Food and Beverage Export Hub are eligible for priority invitations to participate in trade show showcases (click here for more information on the Export Hub.)

 

Trade show funding support

Funding support to participate in a trade show or for related activities may be available through state and federally funded grant programs:

 

South Australian Export Accelerator Program

This program is delivered by the Department for Trade and Investment in South Australia and provides funding assistance for small and medium sized businesses to grow in international markets and create jobs. Export Market Development Grant (EMDG)

This program, delivered by Austrade, is designed to assist small and medium sized Australian businesses to develop export markets, and may reimburse up to 50% of your eligible export promotion expenses above $5,000, provided total expenses are a minimum of $15,000. Food South Australia works in partnership with the Government of South Australia with the shared goal of supporting industry-wide growth, and receives funding annually in an industry and Government collaboration managed through the Department for Trade and nvestment to support these activities. Food South Australia's trade show program receives funding support through this collaboration.
