How to find out about current grant programs

Grant programs are offered by a wide range of agencies at state and federal level. Most grant programs are only available for a limited time and each one will have their own specific guidelines and merit criteria for selection of successful applicants. There are a number of services and websites run by state and federal government agencies that are designed to provide comprehensive lists of currently active grant programs. These are accessible free of charge and may also allow you to register so that you can be alerted when new grant programs, and new rounds of existing grant programs, are announced. So while we have a list of current grant programs below, we also recommend you visit:

Who can help?

State and federal grant programs usually have nominated advisors or coordinators. These people are the right experts to help you understand the objectives of a specific program. They can advise whether your proposed project or activity is eligible under the guidelines of the grant program, and help you understand which project expenses can be included in the application. While in most cases they won't be able to give you feedback on a draft application, they can provide advice before you start preparing your grant application.

Food South Australia members can also contact us for support with grant application writing, industry data and letters of support. Please email or phone us for more information on these member benefits.
